Laura & Chris

Cinematic Wedding Video in Darver Castle

Laura and Chris’s wedding was off the charts, even for a New Years Eve wedding! The couple run a successful videography business of their own in Nantucket, so we were super humbled when they chose Hitched Films to film one of the most important days of their lives. Laura is originally from Louth and met Chris when she moved to Nantucket, working alongside him at a TV channel. The guys got married a few years ago in the US, but they always longed for a big day of celebration with family and friends. A casual morning of preparation, an emotional first look in Laura’s parents garden and a brilliant wedding ceremony celebrated by Laura’s brother was just the beginning of what would become a fabulous wedding video. We loved the emotional speeches, including a surprise song performance that Laura’s sister Clare had written for the occasion. Later that night, Laura & Chris busted out more surprises with some flash dance moves during their first dances with their mum and dad. Clare again organised a surprise video from Ron Pope, the artist of their first dance song. But the fun didn’t end there with Chris getting up on stage with the band to showcase his natural rapping ability to some of our favourite 90’s hip hop covers. The guys had booked our wedding video team to stay until midnight New Years Eve and we were glad they did! An awesome countdown followed by massive confetti cannons put the finishing touches on our part of the day, even though we felt the party was just getting started! To Laura & Chris, thank you so much for having Hitched Films to capture your crazy brilliant day. The both of you radiate with energy & love and it comes across so clearly when we look back at the wedding video. We wish you guys love, happiness and lots of success in the future!
