Emily & Ger have a great story. Emily is from Canada, and Ger is from Bray, Co. Wicklow. Ger had moved over to Canada for work, and when he organised his first date with Emily, he kept it traditional, at least for an Irishman, and chose the pub. From the sounds of their story, they got off to a great start, but just as Ger was thinking he had made a catch, Emily received an “emergency phone call” and Ger’s hopes were dashed rapidly (the call turned out to be an actual emergency though, what are the chances!?). When Emily and Ger told us they were planning on getting married in one of Ireland’s most famous and most beautiful visitors’ destinations we were thrilled. Every Irish person knows Glenalough, and sometimes we can take it for granted, but it is truly one of the most magical settings in the whole country (we ourselves have hiked it’s routes many times!). Emily & Ger also had a new family member with them for the journey back to Ireland and an honoured guest at the wedding - Declan, their almost 10 week old baby son, was recidiously cute in his little suit and bowtie. Throw in an outdoor ceremony, the lovely Glendalough Hotel and the magnificent views down over the upper lake, this wedding had scenery and positivity by the bucket. Emily & Ger, you guys were brilliant on the day, and lots of craic!
